Oracle Releases its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Expense Management Solution

Oracle recently added to its already impressive lineup of mobile workforce support with the introduction of its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Expense Management solution.  The new release eliminates location constraints and allows mobile workers to create and manage expense reports in real time.

With the release of Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Expense Management, employees no longer have to wait until they get back to the office to deal with expense reports.  Whether in the field or traveling, they can now input, submit, review, and approve expense reports with ease to not only reduce time to payment, but also increase employee satisfaction in the long run.

The solution comes equipped with various integrated control features to aid employee compliance with corporate expense policies to ensure reimbursement.  The ability to convert expense data into a concise and accurate reporting format helps to facilitate the sometimes lengthy processes of billing and reimbursement.  Coupled with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Expense Management, the new mobile application also allows users to track spending with frequent suppliers and use that data to try and negotiate less expensive deals and benefits.

Lyle Ekdahl, group vice president and general manager for Oracle’s JD Edwards division, described the benefits of the company’s new offering: “Mobile applications are essential to our customers who demand real-time access to important business data, regardless of time or location.  By enabling mobile workers to manage expense reports on their mobile devices, Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Expense Management can reduce time to payment and increase employee satisfaction. This new release is yet another example of Oracle's commitment to delivering innovative mobile applications that allow our customers to access critical business information in the format that best fits their needs.”

Mobile Expense Management is just one application in Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne suite of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software available to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 customers that is capable of running on multiple mobile devices.  Other mobile applications in the suite include the following: Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Requisition Self Service Approval (helps with requisition review, approval, or rejection by supplying transaction processing in real time), Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Purchase Order Approval (gives mobile employees the power to review and approve purchase orders on the go), and Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Sales Inquiry (serves managers, sales reps, and service techs with access to such things as item availability, sales orders, and more).
