The Oracle PartnerNetwork Specialized program supplies partners with a host of resources to help develop, implement, and sell Oracle products.  Over time, the program has been enhanced through the addition of Specializations that allow partners to differentiate themselves from competitors once they demonstrate an outstanding level of competency, expertise, and success.

Tomas Ulin, Oracle’s MySQL VP of engineering, commented on the new specialization: “Oracle continues to innovate across the MySQL product family to address the evolving needs of both our end-user and partner community.  MySQL continues to be the leading open source database, a popular and important technology for partners, and we are excited to deliver this new Specialization.”

Judson Althoff, Oracle’s senior VP of worldwide alliances and channels and embedded sales, described the advantages that come with the MySQL Specialization: “Oracle is dedicated to providing partners with leading technologies and resources to help them learn, grow and profit with Oracle.  The new MySQL Specialization further provides reseller, ISV and OEM partners with the enablement tools they need to get the maximum value from MySQL and recognizes their expertise and the value they deliver to customers worldwide.”

Oracle PartnerNetwork members who are fortunate enough to acquire the MySQL Specialized label will be given the opportunity to gain an edge over their competitors in a variety of ways.  Select partners who choose to embed or bundle MySQL with their offerings can enhance the quality and performance of their products via access to development licenses of MySQL Enterprise Monitor and MySQL Query Analyzer.  MySQL resellers can take advantage of special Oracle PartnerNetwork benefits, such as distinctive MySQL Specialization branding, advanced educational resources, and accelerated processes for ordering and reselling.

As for feedback from members of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, Jack Horner, Xirrus, Inc.’s VP of software, said: “MySQL helps Xirrus to deliver high-performance, scalable and trusted wireless network management for organizations that depend on wireless to run their business.  Through our Oracle PartnerNetwork membership, we are able to leverage the powerful commercial tools such as MySQL Enterprise Monitor and MySQL Query Analyzer during the development and testing processes to further enhance the quality and performance of our products while reducing the time for troubleshooting.”

BMMsoft Releases EDMT Solution 9 for MySQL

BMMsoft, a San Francisco-based provider of big data analytic solutions, recently announced the availability of the latest version of its flagship product, EDMT 9.  The big data solution, used by commercial enterprises and government organizations worldwide, has been enhanced to give small and medium-sized enterprises instant deployment capabilities minus the hassle associated with programming similar big data offerings.

EDMT Solution 9 digests structured data, such as database records, as well as unstructured data, such as emails and documents, to supply essential functionality in the form of real-time acquisition, access, indexing, cross-analysis, and more.  Through its innovative parallel ingest processing technology and real-time indexing methods, EDMT 9 can automatically tag, create metadata, and ingest a sizable data set at impressive speeds, making it easier to access and analyze.  In the past, such solutions were only available to organizations with massive programming budgets and a high level of expertise at their disposal, leaving those in the small and medium enterprise sector out in the cold.  EDMT Solution 9 puts that functionality in reach, and offers perks such as full and secure access for users on a wide range of mobile devices.

BMMsoft CTO Paul Krneta commented on the benefits of EDMT Solution 9: “The combination of EDMT® 9, commodity Linux servers, MySQL and flexible Cloud, On-Premise or Hybrid deployment offers the functionality previously available only to large corporations at the right price to small and medium enterprises who don't have large development teams nor time for long deployments.  We have built the world's largest database - 1 Petabyte in size - in 2008 and the world's fastest Big Data loader in 2011, and with EDMT 9 we've made that technology affordable and available to a much wider customer base to solve their Big Data problem.”

Perry Narancic, partner at the law firm Narancic & Katzman, PC, described the need for a big data solution from a customer’s perspective: “We have been applying Big Data technology from BMMsoft over last 3 years to some of our most complex cases and litigation matters. As the volume and variety of 'Big Data' continues to grow at an exponential rate, small enterprises need a cost-effective solution more than ever to meet legal, audit, fraud detection and regulatory requirements.”
